1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Meleket Gebeya ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including businesses and individual visitors.
2. Description of Service
Meleket Gebeya is an online directory and discovery platform that connects Ethiopian businesses with local and international customers. The Platform allows business owners to create listings, manage locations, and subscribe to visibility packages. Customers can browse, search, and discover businesses through the Platform.
3. User Accounts
To list a business on Meleket Gebeya, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Meleket Gebeya reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Business Listings
Business owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide on the Platform. You agree not to post false, misleading, or deceptive content. Meleket Gebeya reserves the right to remove any listing that violates our content guidelines or these Terms without prior notice. Listings are contingent on maintaining an active subscription package.
5. Subscription Packages
Access to certain features of the Platform requires a paid subscription package. Package pricing and duration are displayed at the time of purchase. Packages are non-transferable and apply to a single business listing. Meleket Gebeya reserves the right to change package pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.
6. Payments
All payments are processed through third-party payment providers (Chapa and Stripe). By making a payment, you agree to those providers' terms of service. Package fees are charged at the time of purchase and are non-refundable once the listing has been activated, except as required by applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
The Meleket Gebeya name, logo, platform design, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Meleket Gebeya and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant Meleket Gebeya a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the Platform.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform to: post false or misleading business information; engage in fraudulent transactions; scrape or harvest data without permission; transmit malicious code or interfere with Platform operations; list businesses that engage in illegal activities; or violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
9. Limitation of Liability
Meleket Gebeya provides the Platform on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meleket Gebeya shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including lost profits or business opportunities.
10. Changes to Terms
Meleket Gebeya reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
